NZGAP GLOBALG.A.P. Equivalent

10/12/2019 - NZGAP re-benchmarked to GLOBALG.A.P.

The NZGAP GLOBALG.A.P. Equivalent (version 6.2) Checklist, Guidelines and Scheme Rules have been re-benchmarked against the latest GLOBALG.A.P. Standard (Version 5.2).

This means that from 1 January 2020, all NZGAP GLOBALG.A.P. equivalent audits will be against this new version. Registered and certified growers will soon receive a copy of the updated checklist, guidelines and scheme rules.  These can also be found on the NZGAP GLOBALG.A.P. Equivalent webpage.

Growers who are currently GLOBALG.A.P. Option 1 certified can leverage their GLOBALG.A.P. audit to attain both NZGAP and Food Act recognition in an efficient and cost-effective way.  Your can find out more information about our "Mutual Recognition" certification option here.

1st Sept 2017 - New Zealand GAP has successfully benchmarked its GLOBALG.A.P. Equivalent scheme to the new version of GLOBALG.A.P. (version 5)

Benchmarking means that growers can use the export version of the NZGAP programme to obtain a GLOBALG.A.P. certificate to meet their customer requirement in export markets. The NZGAP benchmarked programme is a fantastic scheme and offers growers a relevant and efficient way to gain GLOBALG.A.P. certification.  We strongly encourage export growers to look at the NZGAP programme for their certification.

Market certification is complex and our advice is always to ask your exporter and marketer about the certificates that you need for the markets you supply.

Growers requiring urgent audits will already have received the new checklist and standard. NZGAP will be distributing a new look standard and infopack for all NZGAP GLOBALG.A.P. Equivalent Growers in December.
